2026 Pro-Homes Local Commissioner Traning
DesegregateCT, the pro-homes coalition of nonprofits and neighborhood groups is offering a two hour online training session to provide tips and advice on crafting a pro-homes approach for land use commissions and improving how they interact with your community's needs and goals. This non-partisan training will help land use commissioners understand how the affordable housing crisis and climate crisis are converging and how local land use boards can approach these challenging issues with new approaches and ideas! Join the inaugural 2025 cohort of the Pro-Homes Candidate Training Fellowship — a non-partisan, virtual summer program designed to give aspiring leaders across Connecticut the tools to run successful, housing-forward campaigns.
This fellowship will equip you with key insights on messaging, campaign strategy, and Pro-Homes policy. Through six interactive modules, you'll hear from seasoned advocates and candidates, build a network of like-minded peers, and gain the confidence to step into public service with a bold, pro-homes platform.
